There is a charming restaurant at the First District of Vienna. It is placed at the Judenplatz, a yard not far away from the shopping streets of the first district. The historical yard is a bit hidden and therefor there are not many tourists around.
The restaurant is owned by Lefteris Dermitzakis. If you have something to eat there, you can feel the charm of Greek hospitality and be surrounded by Mediterranean flair. More info about the restaurant you can find here: http://www.ellas.at/
We really enjoyed the food there. In summer or warmer days, you can enjoy your meal at the terrace, surrounded by olive trees, with a look at the Jewish square and the memorial to Austrian Holocaust Victims, a project based on an idea of Simon Wiesenthal and unveiled in 2000. The meals there are delicious with a flair of the Mediterranean cuisine.
