Austria Trend Parkhotel Schonbrunn is located only few walking minutes away from the underground station Hietzing. The hotel is situated close to the entrance to the Schönbrunn Zoo and the large park of Schönbrunn. Hotel was primary Guesthouse for the guests of Franz Joseph and later taken over by Ferdinand Dommayer, who transformed it into an Inn. Nowadays, this is a beautiful renovated hotel with the charm of the Imperial Vienna.

The hotel is easy to reach and is located at the Hietzinger Hauptstr. 10-14, 1130 Vienna, Austria. If you arrive by public transport, use U4 – station Hietzing. There are tram station at your disposal – lines: 51A, 56A, 56B, 58A, 60. as well as Parkhouse just before the Hotel entrance.

We enjoyed the stay there. The hotel has his own imperial charm the rooms are big and comfortable. We had a room to the garden of the hotel and it was fantastic. Looking through the windows you can steel feel the “old charm” of Vienna, with big trees and stillfulness. The rooms follow the style of the hotel, which gets you back in the imperial century. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. The dining room is big and was then a bit crowded in the morning, but the friendly stuff is always there to get you anything you need. The breakfast is good with a lot of variety to choose from. It made an impression.

For those who’d like confortability as well as old Vieniesse “spirit”.

Fleming’s Hotel

As we love to choose every time another hotel, we stayed also in Fleming’s Hotel, which is suited near Westbahnhof. The address of the Hotel is Neubaugürtel 26-28 1070 Wien. Fleming’s Hotel is a four-star hotel with a fitness room and wellness center.

It is a great starting point for explore the city. You are very near the shopping street Mariahilferstraße, which can be reached by feet. Over the street of Fleming’s is also a Tram station which you can use to get to different places of Vienna and the nearest Underground station is Westbahnhof, which you can use to get in the 1st District or to Schönbrunn palace.

The hotel does have some parking spaces, but they are usually full and you get advised to park in the Garage of the Arcotel Wimberger which is some meters away from Fleming’s Hotel, the costs of parking there are 19 EUR per day. The rooms are bright, large and the open shower is definitely an eye catcher.

We enjoyed the stay there. The personnel were friendly and compliant. The room was beautiful, bright and the open shower has been an adventure. The breakfast there is great and has a variety of food to offer. We were just sorry that we didn’t have the time to explore the fitness room and the wellness center in the house. To sum up, the hotel has made a good impression and we definitely recommend it.

Donauwalzer Hotel

At one of our visits of Vienna we stayed at the hotel Donauwalzer. A hotel with the slogan 3-star hotel with 4-star service and 5-star charm.

The boutique Hotel is situated at the Ottakringer str. 5 The nearest underground station is two blocks up Alser Straße, the nearest public transport is the Tram no. 44.

The hotel is situated at a very frequent Viennese Gürtel Street and that at night and at day. We had a room to the street side and I must say that we didn’t have much sleep. We visited the hotel at summer and there is no air conditioning. To cool down the room we had to open the windows, which at night was because of the noise impossible. The room is average size and the furniture is old-fashioned. The hotel gives much attention on details. The breakfast buffet is good and offers a lot of variety. But you have to be in the mood to make pancakes and eggs by yourself. The best impression has made the reception. The receptionist was polite, efficient and quick. To sum up, the hotel has its charm and maybe is the best time to stay there in winter, at least in summer we wouldn’t go back there.

Welcome to the jungle

In the western end of Vienna’s largest shopping street, only 5 minutes’ walk from the Westbahnhof, more specifically to: Mariahilfer Strasse 161 is “Apartmenthotel Stanys”. If you want to stay in an apartment of zebra, elephant or monkey then you are at the right address. The rooms are generous in size, each is also equipped with a refrigerator and coffee machine CAFISSIMO with two capsules. Some rooms also have a kitchenette.

For those who are traveling by car, the hotel offers a limited number of its own parking spaces for 13 euro per day. Stanys is a good starting point to explore Vienna by public transport. The nearest underground station Westbahnhof (U3, U6) is reachable on foot in just a few minutes. From there it is approx. 10 minutes by underground U6 to Stephansplatz or in the opposite direction with U3 to Schoenbrunn.

We stayed in an apartment “monkey”. The room was beautiful, bright and spacious and comfortably furnished. Windows are a good quality, so that the noise is not disturbing. The hotel is otherwise one of the smallest, but certainly with a special charm. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. For breakfast you can decide spontaneously and costs approx. 6 Euro per person. Our experience with the hotel was excellent and certainly we do recommend it.

As a starting point for choosing this hotel was our visit to the famous Schönbrunn, to be more specific, a concert of classical music at its famous Orangerie, “winter Garden” built in 1754.

Hotel HB1 is situated only 10 minutes of walk through the pleasant environment of the local Auer-Weißbach parka from a Schönbrunn Palace. Closest public transportation station Johnstraße / Linzerstrasse (tram) is in immediate vicinity, while the nearest subway station is near palace Schönbrunn (U4 – Schönbrunn) or (U3 – Johnstraße).

The hotel has bright and modernly furnished rooms with parquet floors. Rooms are equipped with shower cabin with large shower. Hotel offers free wi-fi, signal coverage is ok in rooms as well. We were accommodated in a room with access to the terrace.

Hotel has its own parking garage in the underground floors, with approximately 45 parking places. They are “Viennese” narrow and will take you some maneuvering, but garage used possible space wisely. I recommend you to book the garage together with the room, as you can get special discount offer and park cheaper than if you pay upon your arrival.

What we experienced as a pleasant surprise is surely Hotel’s Bar and breakfast room, located in the attic at the top of the building. Together, with a tasty breakfast of a good selection and very good coffee you can enjoy its splendid view of the Gloriette of Schoenbrunn. With such a view and a rich breakfast, you’re well fitted for a another nice day in Vienna.

Therefore, If you are heading to Vienna and looking for a place to stay near the Schönbrunn Palace, the Hotel HB1 Design is definitely worth a visit .

A must stay – Ruby Marie Hotel

On one of our visits to Vienna, we stayed in the Ruby Marie Hotel. This charming hotel is located directly on Mariahilfestraße in Vienna’s 7th District of Neubau. In the past whole of the building has been a shopping center, which has been renovated and its upper floors turned into this boutique hotel, which is definitely worth a visit.

Rooms have their own specific charm are nicely decorated and have a lot of specific details. Certainly not to overlook is the Marshall amplifier that you can connect to your mobile phone or tablet and listen to their radio “Ruby.” Rooms are bright with hardwood floors and shower in the room is a special experience.

We were especially thrilled by details for which the hotel takes the greatest care. In each room upon arrival, a fresh flower is placed in a vase. Notable as well are their shower gels and soaps, specially designed for “Ruby Hotels” and can be purchased at Hotel or online known as “Ruby Goods” ( Fragrances are specially made for boys (“boys and girls”) and girls (“girls and boys”).

The hotel pays particular attention to the breakfast, which is made from organic products. Real experience is also a terrace, which is, of course, fully furnished in a style that is evident throughout the hotel. On warm days you can also enjoy your breakfast in the open air on the terrace. The hotel also features specially equipped rooms for work, yoga, library and much more.

Yoga room, Terrace and the Breakfast area with variety to choose from.

Our experience was definitely very positive.

Although we didn’t have a lot of contact with stuff, because most processes are computerized and you can perform check-in by yourself at the tablets in the bar area and check-out is not necessary at all, you just have to take care of leaving the room until a certain time. Nevertheless, we still got the feeling, that it was taken good care of us. I would certainly recommend anyone to visit this hotel. We will certainly return.
